The production opens 10 June and will run at Norwich Puppet Theatre until it transfers to Polka Theatre from 26 June to 17 August. Mark will then tour until 4 October.

X-BREED is a £3.5m science-fiction thriller about soldiers sent into a military academy, to be filmed in York and Newcastle. This is due to be released in 2014.

Mark will be appearing as puppeteer and actor in TOMTEN at the Old Saw Theatre and Litte Angel Theatre (described on their website as "the Home of British Puppetry") between 15 and 16 March, 11:00. The show will incorporate bunraku puppetry, shadow work and object animation and is directed by Siggi Lindal. The performances are part of The Little Angel Firsts Festival. Lara was privileged to gain a place on the Horse and Bamboo Theatre Puppetry Masterclass run by Mark Whitaker with the help of North Of Watford. Mark has worked with Horse and Bamboo Theatre for many years, as well as commercially in the industry, including on PROMETHEUS for Ridley Scott. The masterclass covered techniques in glove puppetry, rod, marionette and Bunraku.

Dermot and Lara were invited to speak at an acting and theatre Q&A evening at Leeds University on 25 January. Also on the panel were Anthony Haddon from the theatre company Blah Blah Blah and Alan Lane of Slung Low.
Clowning Around
Our actors are always keen to develop and expand their skill base. Members Mark Esaias, Gemma Ryan, Stephanie Bulter, Sian Murray, Jo Gerard, Michael Forrest and Lisa Allen recently attended an intensive course on Clowning in central Leeds. The course was led by Simone Lewis. Simone trained at Gaulier in 2008 and on her return to the UK continued her training with both Sue Morrison and John Wright. Since then Simone has lead workshops on Clowning for Sheffield Theatres, the International Schools Theatre Association, and Huddersfield Universtity.

Jeff is appearing in the latest McDonald's commercial - THERE'S NOTHING LIKE THAT MCDONALD'S FEELING - produced by Pulse Films and Leo Burnett Limited. Jeff plays the character of the Newspaper Stand Man. The commercial has UK coverage including terrestrial and satellite television until the end of the year and was filmed nearby in Huddersfield!
