Menyee Lai will appear in multiple episodes of the brand new four-part psychological TV thriller The Catch. Menyee stars alongside BAFTA winner Jason Watkins, Brenda Fricker, Aneurin Barnard and Poppy Gilbert. Watkins plays Ed Collier, a proud husband, father and local fisherman determined to do whatever it takes to keep his family together, but finds his life spiralling out of control. Secrets and lies are exposed with every twist and turn, including from Ed’s own past.
The Catch has been adapted for the screen by Michael Crompton (The Holiday, Silent Witness, Safe House, Kidnap and Ransom) with Robert Quinn directing (McDonald & Dodds, The Bay, Ackley Bridge). Rachel Gesua, Suzi McIntosh and Trevor Eve are executive producing for Projector Pictures, with Herbert Kloiber and Olivia Pahl executive producing for Night Train Media. The series was ordered by Paul Testar, Commissioning Executive, Drama, Channel 5 and Paramount+.
The Catch first airs Wednesday, 25 January at 9pm on Channel 5.
