North of Watford client Lisa Allen is set to appear in the hit children’s basketball comedy High Hoops.

The series co-stars Peep Show alumni Robert Webb and Isy Suttie and is produced by Can Can Productions, located in Hebden Bridge. The show revolves around the tall, gaffe-prone but unstoppable Aoife O’Neill, played by Darci Hull, and also stars Nigel Boyle as basketball coach Jim.

High Hoops was created by lead writer Sinead Fagan, the director is Ian Curtis and Rebecca Papworth is the executive producer for Can Can Productions.

The show was recommissioned by director of BBC Children’s and Education Patricia Hidalgo and senior head of commissioning 7+ Sarah Muller, with Anita Burgess commissioning executive for the CBBC 7+ audience and their families.

The show is distributed internationally by Madgic Distribution and has sold to ABC Australia, TVO Canada, ARD1 KIKA Germany, Canal+ France and EITB Spain.
